How to Use a Disc with Pull Tab
Why Buy the New Cup&Co Disc?

New Disc with Pull Tab vs Others
This new disc has a pull tab with 2 adjustable rings for easier removal. It's deeper for more capacity and has a smooth interior that's way easier to clean. The material is slightly thicker so it lasts longer, but it's a tiny bit less soft than our old model (still softer than other brands though).
FAQs About Menstrual Discs with Rings
Is the Cup&Co Menstrual Disc with Pull Tab Suitable for Beginners?
The Cup&Co menstrual disc with pull tab is a good menstrual disc for beginners.
It features a pull tab with 2 rings for super easy removal, and it's really soft so it's very comfortable and easy to insert.
We also have a beginner's pack made specifically for first-time users that includes 2 menstrual discs, an applicator, and a sterilizer to help you get started with this new period protection.
Plus, depending on which sizes you choose, you can take advantage of our 90-day guarantee to test them out. If they don't work for you, we've got you covered!
Can I cut or adjust the pull tab on the disc?
Yes, the pull tab on the Cup&Co menstrual disc is totally adjustable. You can cut it partially to keep just one ring, or cut it off completely if you prefer not to have a pull tab at all.
You can also fold the pull tab by threading one ring through the other, which lets you angle the tab more upward. As you can see, the pull tab can easily adapt to your needs and preferences - that's the advantage of the double pull tab design!
Is the period disc with pull tab painful or uncomfortable?
Discs are a very comfortable period products. You barely feel them since the disc sits in a less sensitive area of the vagina and molds perfectly to your body shape, making it almost unnoticeable.
We've made our disc super soft so it adapts to your body, and the exterior is thin and smooth for extra comfort. Even though our double-ring pull tab is longer than most other discs, you won't feel it at all - it's thin and flexible. And if you do happen to notice it, you can easily cut it or fold it different ways to make it even more comfortable for you.
Can a period disc be used with an IUD?
Yes, the menstrual disc is compatible with an IUD. The disc holds without suction, so there's less risk of displacing your IUD than with a cup, and its shape limits the risk of IUD expulsion. According to the gynecologists we interviewed, there are no contraindications.
Thanks to the double ring pull tab, this disc is even more IUD-friendly because the long tab means you don't have to pinch the disc to remove it, which eliminates the risk of accidentally grabbing your IUD strings.
Can my partner feel the pull tab during sex?
This period protection with pull tab is perfectly compatible with sex. Of course, the period disc without a pull tab is better suited for sex since it's flatter and less noticeable for your partner.
But the new disc with pull tab will still be just as comfortable for you, and your partner shouldn't feel the tab at all. And if they do happen to feel it, you can fold the tab or position it differently so it's no longer noticeable.
Is the menstrual disc convenient for heavy flow?
According to a study conducted by the University of Portland in the USA, menstrual discs are great protection for heavy periods. They have a higher absorption capacity than all other menstrual protection products.
Thanks to its deeper design, this new disc can now hold 60 to 70ml - even more than our previous model and more than most menstrual discs on the market. That's the equivalent of 2 to 3 menstrual cups or 6 to 7 tampons.
