How to Choose the Right Menstrual Disc Size for Your Body

It’s very important to choose a menstrual disc size that fits your body properly—otherwise, you might experience leaks.
⚠️ Important:
If you previously used a menstrual cup, your disc size may not match your old cup size.
Be sure to read this guide carefully to find the best disc size for your body.

First Time Using a Disc?
If you’ve never tried a menstrual disc before, we highly recommend starting with our Menstrual Disc Starter Pack (Buy 1, Get 1 Free) in sizes S and M.
This way, you can easily try both sizes at home.
Try it for 90 days, completely risk-free—and if it’s not the right fit, you’ll get your money back.

Disc Size Depends on Your Cervix Height

A menstrual disc sits just below your cervix, in a part of the vaginal canal called the fornix.

It positions itself between the back of your cervix and your pubic bone near the vaginal opening.
(See diagram below.)

To fit properly, the disc needs to cover the distance between your cervix and your pubic bone.
Knowing your cervix height will help you choose the right disc size.
Or, even better, you can simply try both disc sizes with our Starter Pack for beginners!

How to Measure Your Cervix Height

Here’s how to find out your cervix height:

  1. Get comfortable, either sitting or lying down so you’re relaxed.
  2. With clean hands, insert a finger into your vagina until you feel your cervix (it’s round and may feel like a small donut with a dimple in the center).
  3. Use your finger to estimate how deep it is:

    Phalanges Cervix Height
    1 phalange Low cervix
    2 phalanges Average cervix
    3 phalanges High cervix

Choosing Between Size S and Size M from Cup&Co

Here’s our recommendation:

  • For a medium or low cervix ➡️ choose Size S
  • For a high cervix ➡️ choose Size L

If you’re unsure between two sizes and have never tried a menstrual disc before, we highly recommend starting with our 2-Disc Starter Pack (sizes S + M).

Plus, you’ll enjoy a 90-day risk-free trial—if the discs don’t work for you, you’ll get your money back.

Most Common Questions About Sizing

How Do I Know If I Have the Right Size?

If your menstrual disc is the right size, you shouldn’t experience any leaks (unless it’s not positioned correctly, in that case, make sure to follow our detailed user guide for insert your menstrual disc).

When the fit is right, you’ll barely feel your disc and it won’t move around, even during sports or other activities.

What If I Ordered the Wrong Size?

If you ordered a single size (like an S+S or M+M pack) and you experience leaks or realize it’s not the right fit, don’t worry!
You’re covered by our 90-day guarantee, which allows you to request another size for free.
Simply contact the Cup&Co team to get your replacement.
