It was a little tricky at first, but once I figured out how to position it, it was smooth sailing. Super comfortable, and I felt totally at ease the whole time, even with one accidental auto-emptying moment (thankfully while I was on the toilet). After three months of using the menstrual disc, I’m really happy with it! You can’t feel it at all, no irritation, no discomfort at the end of your period, and no pain when inserting or removing it. I didn’t have any leaks, even the first time I used it (thanks to the two sizes available when you order).

It can get your hands a little messier than with a cup, so it’s a good idea to have tissues and/or a water bottle on hand if you don’t have access to a sink. But once you get the hang of it and the auto-emptying feature (hello core muscles!) it’s super convenient.

The sterilizer works great; I don’t use the applicator.
